
Hello everyone, I am Dr. Chandra Sekhar Tripathy, from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. I have completed my Ph.D. from the Department of Botany, School of Applied Sciences, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India on 31st Jan 2026. My Ph.D. thesis title was “Potential pharmacoperones from selected plants for efficient proteostasis through modulating target proteins in Type 2 Diabetes: A combinatorial approach”. I have completed my M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from C.P.G.S., O.U.AT., Bhubaneswar. During my six years of research experience, I have learned about the computational drug design process.
I am well-trained in data mining, genomics, proteomics, Molecular Modelling, Molecular docking and MD Simulations, Virtual screening, Network pharmacology, drug designing in addition to in-vitro and in-vivo techniques.
During my research career, I have worked in many reputed Institutes like ICMR-RMRC, Department of Biotechnology, SOA University, NCERT-R.I.E, Bhubaneswar.
During my Ph.D. research work, I have also gained experience in teaching and helped many M.Sc. students with their project works.
In addition to in silico experience, I also have good experience in wet lab experiments, including in vivo mouse model work. I have also attended many National and International workshops and Conferences.
I have also published many research papers and book chapters indexed in the SCI and SCOPUS databases. My research publications primarily focus on the discovery, rational design, and development of natural compound-based therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of diverse human diseases, and on identifying bioactive phytoconstituents with high therapeutic potential. Emphasis is placed on mechanistic insights, target-specific modulation, and translational applicability to enhance efficacy, safety, and clinical relevance. Overall, my research contributes to the advancement of innovative, evidence-based, and scientifically robust natural product derived drug discovery strategies for addressing complex and multifactorial diseases.
I am thankful to the International Society For Scientific Network Awards 2026 (ISSN Awards) for awarding me with “INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH STAR AWARD” for my research paper “COMPUTATIONAL VALIDATION OF BIO-ACTIVE COMPOUNDS FROM EMBLICA OFFICINALIS GAERTN. AGAINST THE NUCLEAR FACTOR ERYTHROID 2-RELATED FACTOR 2 (NFE2L2) IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS”.
