Dr. Bhaveshkumar H. Joshi is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator in the field of Food Microbiology and presently serves at the nationally reputed Anand Agricultural University. He has been actively contributing to higher education, research, and extension activities with a strong commitment toward developing skilled and industry-ready professionals in Food Safety and Quality Assurance.
As a dedicated teacher, Dr. Joshi is extensively involved in teaching undergraduate students of B. Tech. (Food Technology) as well as postgraduate students pursuing M. Tech. and Ph.D. programs in Food Technology, Food Processing Technology, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, and related disciplines. He has guided several postgraduate and doctoral students, contributing significantly to academic excellence and research advancement in the field.
Apart from teaching, Dr. Joshi has served as Principal Investigator for several research projects funded by the Government of Gujarat, ICAR, and the University. His research contributions have led to the development of more than fourteen research recommendations benefiting the food processing and food safety sectors. His research interests primarily focus on food quality assurance, food safety management, value addition, and innovative food processing technologies.
Dr. Joshi has also played an active role in organizing scientific seminars, technical festivals, workshops, and student-oriented co-curricular activities aimed at nurturing innovation, leadership, and scientific temperament among Food Technology students. His dedication toward student welfare and institutional development is reflected through his administrative responsibilities as well.
He successfully served as Hostel Rector during 2015–2018 and has again been entrusted with the same responsibility since June 1, 2022. Since 2012, he has been contributing as the PG Centre In-charge of the College of Food Processing Technology and Bio Energy Engineering, where he has actively facilitated postgraduate academic and research activities.
A committed academic planner, Dr. Joshi has consistently played a vital role in curriculum design, revision, and implementation for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. His efforts have helped strengthen academic standards and align educational programs with the evolving needs of the food industry and research organizations.
