Dr. M. Millicent Mabel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Rajalakshmi Engineering College with over 17 years of teaching and research experience. She completed her B.Tech in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University, M.Tech in Biotechnology from SRM University, and Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Anna University. Her research interests include Environmental Biotechnology, Food Biotechnology, Biomaterials, Marine Biotechnology, and Biomedical AI. She has published several research articles in reputed Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals and has presented papers at various national and international conferences, including IEEE conferences. Dr. Millicent Mabel has successfully handled funded projects supported by UGC, MSME, and IIT initiatives and has undertaken consultancy projects with industries such as Nippon Paints and Kothari Petrochemicals. She is also a recipient of multiple awards for research, mentoring, and innovation from organizations including IIT PALS, DBT ABLE, and IFERP. She holds granted patents in the fields of food preservation and biomaterials and continues to contribute actively to academic excellence through teaching, research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
