Dr Rajesh Chaudhary

I was born in a small village near Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. I completed my
primary education in the local village school and went to Jawahar Navodaya
Vidyalaya Paprola to complete my high school education. I completed my MBBS
from Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla in 2005. I joined the Health and Family
Welfare Department in December 2007 and served as a medical officer in
hard/difficult area of District Mandi in HP. After serving for two and a half years at a
primary health center there, I joined IGMC Shimla in 2010 and worked as a junior
resident in Departments of Physiology, Urology and Pulmonary Medicine at IGMC
Shimla. I joined MS (Gen. Surgery) at DRPGMC Tanda (Kangra) in July 2011. After
finishing my MS degree I served the state as a General Surgeon at ZH
Dharamshala, from August 2014 to November 2016. In November 2016, I joined
back as a senior resident in the Department of General Surgery at DRPGMC Tanda,
and completed it successfully in November 2019. I have served as a surgical
specialist at Civil Hospital, Nagrota Bagwan and was posted as a MO, Surgical
specialist in Deptt of Surgery at DRPGMC Tanda w.e.f 17/02/2021. I have been
involved in teaching the undergraduate students from 2011 onwards and teaching
the post graduate students from 2016 onwards. I am serving as an Assistant
Professor in Department of Surgery at PtJLNGMC Chamba since April 2021. In the
last 07 years I have authored and published more than 60 international papers ,
attended nearly 30 CMEs & conferences . I have presented papers and posters at
the regional and national conferences. I have been a reviewer for international
journals like Springer Nature’s Comprehensive Clinical Medicine, Asian journal of
research and reports in Gastroenterology and International journal of Pathogen
Research. I am a full life member of ASI, IMA and AMASI. During COVID pandemic
apart from performing my duties, I have completed many online training programs
including the certificate course , Safe Surgical Care: Strategies during the Pandemic,
from University Of British Columbia, Disaster management training , from Stanford
University and successfully completed and attained a passing grade in, COVID-19
Training For Healthcare Workers , from Stanford University in 2020. Surgery is my
passion and I shall continue to attain perfection and impart surgical knowledge and
skills to my juniors in every possible way.
