
I’m a software developer and researcher with a strong interest in cloud security and large-scale distributed systems. Over time, I naturally got pulled into problems where scale, reliability, and security all come together especially in systems that have to handle a lot of data without slowing down or breaking.
Most of my work has been around building systems that process millions of files and events every day. The idea is pretty straightforward – make sure malicious or harmful content doesn’t get through, while still keeping everything fast and reliable. But in reality, it’s not always that simple. There’s always a tradeoff between speed, accuracy, and stability, and a lot of my effort has gone into finding the right balance between these.
Something I’ve spent quite a bit of time on is understanding how systems behave when things are not predictable. Workloads can suddenly spike, traffic patterns change, and systems can get stressed in ways you don’t always expect. This is where my interest in data-driven and AI-based approaches comes in. I’ve explored ways to make systems more adaptive, handle high-throughput scenarios better, and stay efficient without adding unnecessary complexity.
Alongside my engineering work, I’ve been involved in research, mainly in the area of AI applied to cybersecurity. I’ve worked on problems like analyzing encrypted traffic without needing to decrypt it, which helps with privacy while still allowing threat detection. I’ve also looked at insider threat detection using behavioral patterns, where you try to identify unusual activity based on how users interact with systems.
Another area that I find really interesting is how AI is changing the threat landscape itself. We’re starting to see more AI-generated malware and automated attack patterns, which makes traditional detection approaches less effective. My work here has been more about understanding these changes and thinking about how systems can adapt to them.
I also do peer reviews for a few international journals and conferences. It’s something I enjoy because it gives me a chance to see what others are working on and also helps me think more critically about my own work.
From an academic side, I have a Master’s degree in Data Science and a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and I’ve spent a good amount of time working with cloud-native systems and distributed architectures.
Recently, I received the International Best Research Award in Malware Threat Detection. It’s something I’m really grateful for, and it kind of reflects the work I’ve been doing in this space over the past few years.
Going forward, I’m interested in continuing to explore how AI can be used to make systems smarter and more adaptive, especially in security-focused environments.
