Dr. Sharma began her professional career in the healthcare sector, where she gained valuable experience in administration, operations, and organisational management. From 2005 to 2006,she worked with Narayan Seva Sansthan,Udaipur,Rajasthan,contributing to healthcare and emergency support activities. From 2006 to 2008 ,she served with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Rawatbhata Site, Rajasthan, gaining further experience in professional administration and organisational operations. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2019,she worked as a Pharmacy Executive at Advanced Hospital, Imphal East, Manipur,where she was involved in accounts, human resource management, and inventory management.
Her professional journey later expanded into education and academic leadership. Since 2019, Dr. Sharma has been serving as the Managing Director of Leima Academy School, Khongman Mangil, Imphal East, Manipur.Her responsibilities include institutional administration, academic development, teacher coordination, student welfare, and strategic school management. Her leadership reflects her belief that education and research should contribute meaningfully to individual growth and wider social development.
Dr. Sharma holds a PhD in Management from Bir Tikendrajit University, Manipur,representing her sustained commitment to advanced research and academic excellence. Her research interests include women’s empowerment, financial literacy, financial inclusion, management, education, and inclusive development.
One of her significant research areas focuses on financial literacy among women vendors in Manipur.Her study, “Present Scenario of Financial Literacy among Women Vendors in Manipur,”examines the financial knowledge, attitudes, and practices of women vendors and highlights the importance of financial awareness and inclusion in strengthening women’s economic participation and independence. Her research demonstrates an effort to connect academic investigation with real-world social and economic challenges, particularly those affecting women and grassroots communities.
