Dr. (Prof.) Ujjal Chatterjee is a distinguished academician, clinician, administrator, and mentor in the field of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, with over three decades of dedicated experience in dental education, clinical practice, research, and institutional leadership. He currently serves as the Principal and Head of the Department of Prosthodontics at Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Patna, Bihar. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Prosthodontics from the prestigious Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital. Throughout his illustrious career, he has made significant contributions to undergraduate and postgraduate dental education by mentoring numerous students who are now serving as successful dental professionals in India and abroad. His clinical expertise encompasses complete and removable dentures, fixed prosthodontics, implant prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthodontics, full-mouth rehabilitation, aesthetic dentistry, smile designing, CAD-CAM technology, and digital dentistry. As an accomplished academician, he has authored numerous publications in reputed national and international journals, guided postgraduate dissertations and research projects, and actively promoted evidence-based dentistry. He has participated in and chaired several scientific conferences, continuing dental education programs, workshops, and seminars, and has been invited as a scientific speaker, moderator, and chairperson at various academic forums.
