Professor (Dr) Gourangie Gogoi has done her MBBS and MD, Community Medicine from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Assam. In the course of her academic and research career spanning more than twenty-four years, she has successfully completed ICMR Task force projects on nutrition and antimicrobial resistance as the principal investigator. She is trained in medical education technology and an executive member of the institutional medical education unit. Apart from faculty development programs for the medical teachers, she is also involved in capacity building activities for the grass root health workers. She has taken part in implementation, monitoring and supervision of different national health programs. She has mentored eight post graduate students in their thesis and many undergraduates for students’ research projects. She has published more than fifteen research studies in reputed scientific journals.
