Dr. Deepak Sarangi working as a Professor at the Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brahmapur, Ganjam, Odisha, India. He earned his B.Pharm and M.Pharm from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, and subsequently obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Centurion University, Bhubaneswar. He possesses over 14 years of academic experience in pharmaceutical education and research.
Before entering academia, Prof. Sarangi acquired more than five years of professional experience in Research & Development, Quality Control and Quality Assurance in reputed pharmaceutical industries, including Geno Pharmaceuticals, Wallace Pharmaceuticals, Goa and CI Laboratories Kolkata. He also served as an Assistant Professor at Omega College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad, affiliated with Osmania University.
Prof. Sarangi’s research interests primarily focus on Pharmaceutics, Novel Drug Delivery Systems and nano technologies. He has authored more than 30 research papers published in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals and has actively participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops.
His scholarly achievements include 2 Indian Granted Patents, 2 authored books, 5 book chapters, and the successful supervision of more than 100 postgraduate dissertations across various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences. He has also served as a reviewer and academic contributor to several scientific activities.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical research, Prof. Sarangi received the Young Researcher Award (2020) from the Institute of Scholars, Bengaluru, and the Nobel Research Award (2025) from Scientific Laurels, Chennai.
Beyond his academic and research pursuits, Prof. Sarangi is an accomplished guitarist, passionate musician, and an ardent lover of literature. He has authored numerous short stories, poems, translated literary works, and feature articles published in reputed Odia, Hindi, and English magazines and newspapers. His literary works are also available on StoryMirror. In addition, he runs a popular YouTube channel(Deepak Sarangi) under his own name, featuring more than 600 guitar instrumental performances, tutorials, and music-learning videos, reflecting his commitment to promoting music, creativity, and lifelong learning alongside academic excellence. Apart from his academic, musical, and literary pursuits, Prof. Sarangi is a regular reviewer on IMDb (Internet Movie Database), where he contributes thoughtful reviews and ratings of films , web series, TV shows etc. showcasing his enduring passion for cinema and film appreciation.
