Ms. Bhakti Sindhav
Ms. Bhakti Sindhav is a promising and dynamic young researcher whose work reflects a deep commitment to scientific excellence and sustainable innovation. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in title ‘Facile synthesis of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) nanosheets and its modification to improve photocatalytic application’ in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Wilson College (Autonomous), affiliated with the University of Mumbai, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. H. A. Parbat. Building on a strong academic foundation, she completed her M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from the same department and qualified the PET examination in 2022.
Ms. Sindhav’s research is rooted in advancing multidisciplinary areas of modern chemistry. Her work spans nanotechnology, photocatalysis, material science, green synthesis, and reaction kinetics, with a central focus on designing functional materials that address pressing environmental and energy challenges. Recognised for her scientific potential, she is a recipient of the prestigious scholarship from the Indian Women Scientists’ Association (IWSA), a testament to her dedication and capability in research.
In 2022–23, she had the honour of representing the University of Mumbai at the State-Level Avishkar Research Convention. Her participation in this prestigious platform highlights her creativity, academic rigor, and collaborative spirit. She also contributes to the scientific community through publications, including her review “Biogenic Nanoparticles: A Comprehensive Review of Synthesis, Approaches and Energy Applications” published in IJFANS.
