She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, a Master’s degree and Honours in Biotechnology, and has completed numerous courses in Clinical Research. This unique combination of biotechnology expertise, clinical knowledge, and endocrinology specialisation has enabled her to drive meaningful improvements in patient outcomes through holistic disease research. Her significant contributions to thyroid research have resulted in multiple publications in highly reputed, indexed journals. She specialises in investigating the association between thyroid disorders and cardiac diseases, with her study directly contributing to enhanced patient outcomes. Her comprehensive work examines various aspects of thyroid disorders in relation to cardiac surgery, including epidemiological patterns, short-term and long-term clinical effects, bioinformatics analysis, and the identification of early indicators for adverse outcomes in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery. Through this research, she has identified a potential early indicator for adverse post-surgical outcomes in cardiac patients with thyroid disorders. Her meticulous studies have illuminated the critical correlation between thyroid disorders and cardiac health. Additionally, leveraging her expertise in endocrinology and skills as an articulate author, she has published important work highlighting the use of oral medications for diabetes treatment. As a proud member of the European Thyroid Association, she continues to advance the field through her biomedical research.
