Dr. Amitvikram C. Nawalagatti, currently serving as the Coordinator and Faculty of the Department of Computer Science at Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Gadag , previously worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at the National Forensic Sciences University, Dharwad Campus. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2022) for his dissertation titled “Analysis and Comparison of PHP7 Supported Frameworks,” and brings a strong blend of academic depth and industry experience to his roles.
Before joining NFSU, Dr. Nawalagatti served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Gadag, where he played an active role in curriculum design, student mentoring, and various academic initiatives. His professional journey began in the IT industry as a Quality Test Engineer, an experience that strengthens his ability to connect technical theory with practical, real-world applications.
Dr. Nawalagatti has authored 12 research publications, including a Scopus-indexed paper, and holds four utility patents and two design patents, reflecting his commitment to innovation and applied research. He is also the author of the widely used textbook “Introduction to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.”
With expertise spanning computer science, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and emerging technologies, he continues to contribute significantly through research, academic leadership, curriculum development, and institutional growth.
