Dr. Akshay Batra is one of India’s leading Trichologists, and the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Dr Batra’s® Healthcare. Today, under his leadership, Dr Batra’s® has expanded into a global chain with over 200 state-of-the-art clinics across 133 cities in India along with presence in The UK, The UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Thailand & Malaysia. Since its inception, Dr Batra’s® has treated more than 1.5 million patients worldwide.
He earned his medical degree (B.H.M.S.) from KESCHK Homeopathic Medical College, Mumbai University. He went on to complete:
• Super-specialisation in Trichology (L.T.T.S.) from The Trichological Society, London, where he became the only non-Britisher elected as President.
• Fellowship in Homeopathic Dermatology – Mumbai University of Health Sciences
• Certificate in Homeopathic Cosmetology & Aesthetics – Mumbai University of Health Sciences
• C.P.H. in Paediatrics
He has also pursued continual education through leadership programs at Harvard, Indian School of Business (AMP), and London Business School (YPO Program).

Dr. Akshay Batra is the author of the national bestseller “HAIR – Everything You Ever Wanted to Know”, published in three languages. He has contributed extensively to advancing the field of trichology through his research and publications.
He currently serves as Co–Chairman of the FICCI Wellness Committee and is among the few Indians to be a member of the European Hair Research Society.
